The Shepherd Boy

The Shepherd Boy is one of Aesop's Fables and a classic favorite.

It shares the story of a shepherd boy who repeatedly tricks the villagers into thinking a wolf is attacking his flock. When a wolf actually does appear and the boy again calls for help, the villagers believe that it is another trick.

The story teaches children the importance of telling the truth, and that a liar will not be believed, even when he speaks honestly.
